Note from Jess (Mum and Owner of The Little Sensory Box):
When searching for wooden food to add to my little boy's play kitchen at home, I did A LOT of research online to find food that was not only realistic-looking but good quality too. I came across Tidlo's cutting fruit and veg sets which ticked all the boxes for me - very realistic-looking, a good variety of both fruit and veg in each set, and of course - superb quality.
Between 1-2 years old I introduced both sets to my little boy (Freddie) who has loved using the knife to chop the fruit and veg, and still does now! The pieces have been dropped many times (as expected with any toddler!) but the paintwork has remained mainly intact, which definitely speaks volumes for the quality of the pieces.
The only thing I would mention with this set is that the strawberry pieces are quite small when split in half, so it is definitely a good idea to keep your eye on your little one even more so when playing with this one - especially if they are still mouthing.
I can see both sets being used for many years to come, and hopefully passed down generations too.
If you're looking for good quality food items to add to a toy kitchen set-up then I couldn't recommend the Tidlo sets more, hence why I have chose to stock them on the website.
